All New York is excited about the acclaimed brownstones long recognized as architectural treasures of a bygone era. At WelcometoHarlem.Com we have arranged a very special tour for the curious and well informed.
Our tour starts when we meet, at 125th street. We begin with a visit to one of the area’s more prominent and historic neighborhood, Mount Morris Park where some of the greatest architectural creations of New York’s Gilded Era can be seen – townhouses built in the early 1800s for the then-most notable families.
Your visit will include entry to the private homes of Harlem brownstone owners and an opportunity to sit down and talk about what it is like to live in or renovate an historic townhouse. After viewing the homes we will then proceed to one of our famous restaurants to enjoy a lovely dinner and entertainment.
Our brownstone tours are practical and enjoyable, and are filled with valuable information about these graceful structures. Call us to arrange an individual tour or bring along some friends and we will set up a group tour.

You will see the sign for Welcome to Harlem. 2 or 3 trains to 125th Street, exit on the left side of the station and walk west two blocks to 8th Avenue (Frederick Douglass Blvd.), turn right and walk to 126th & 127th Streets. You will see the sign for Welcome to Harlem.
